An Update

New Israel, the exciting conclusion of the thrilling Hrwang Incursion Trilogy, is way behind schedule.  Beta reading is complete and I have some final touches to put on the work.  I hope to release it by June or July of this year.  There are also all new covers for all three books created by my good friend, Meggan Hayes, that will also be released at the same time.  I can’t wait to share them with you.

The primary reason for the delay is that I’ve ventured into a new field.  Never one to stick with a specific genre for too long, I’ve moved temporarily away from science fiction and fantasy to a work of historical fiction.  Not One Stone is about the Jewish-Roman war of 66-70 A.D. that culminated in the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem.  It was a devastating period of time, and the loss of the temple as prophesied by the Savior had a profound impact on both Judaism and Christianity.

Historical fiction is much harder for me to write than science fiction.  It takes me so much more research.  For my other works, I would spend time researching and then lots of time writing.  For Not One Stone, it’s research, then more research, then write a little, then research some more.  Sometimes I worry that I’ve bitten off more than I can chew.

But, it’s as they say in football:

GO BIG or go home!

Cheers,

Bernard
